In der Reihe drucke ich eine Toner – Druckerpatrone leer, bis das Papier einmal gänzlich weiß bleibt. Die Arbeit bildet die Zufälligkeit des Erschöpfungsmoments des maschinellen Druckprozesses ab. Von jedem Druck fertige ich einen analogen Kontaktabzug auf Baryt – Fotopapier an. Die Fotoarbeiten dokumentieren das Verlaufsbild der Erschöpfung der Patrone - wie auch das fließbandartige, repetitive Ab-arbeiten in der Dunkelkammer an den Abzügen. In den Fotopapieren wird der Verlauf der Erschöpfung invertiert abgebildet, sodass der Betrachter mit einer sich ausbreitenden Schwärze konfrontiert wird.
In the series I print out as copies until the toner cartridge runs empty and the paper remains completely white once. The work depicts the randomness of the moment of exhaustion of the machine printing process. From each print I make an analogue contact print on baryta photo paper. The photographic works document the progression of the exhaustion of the cartridge - as well as the assembly-line-like, repetitive working on the prints in the darkroom. In the photographic papers, the course of the exhaustion is depicted inverted, so that the viewer is confronted with a spreading blackness.
